Description
The design on each of these Coronation Coasters was created by Sir Jony Ive, and has been approved by the Palace. It depicts flora from each of the four UK nations as a gesture to the King’s love of the natural world. Each coaster celebrates the Coronation in visual form with The rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales and the shamrock of Northern Ireland. These symbols merge to form the shape of St Edward’s crown, which the King will be crowned with during the service. King Charles has approved this glorious artwork which celebrates his Coronation. It is different from King Charles’ cypher (read more here) although both will become familiar symbols of his reign.
Each Coronation coaster is professionally printed and has a high-gloss premium finish, with a traditional cork backing.
